Two days ago, in a midday FaceTime call with my hospice doctor, I told him of my sleepiness problem. He prescribed Ritalin. (You've heard of it. A stimulant known for its use in treating hyperactive kids to get them to focus. Seems odd to me that a stimulant could have that effect, but that's what they say.)

True to hospice form, the pills were delivered later that day, so I took my first pill with breakfast yesterday and just had the second with breakfast today.

I think it worked well yesterday (that is, I think those mathematical thoughts were coherent) and that there is every reason to think it will continue. Very good news for me.
